My co-worker showed me this video. I was laughing the whole time, especially at the big guy. Very good beat though. Then I thought to myself, my friends are weird. I love them though.
That is your laughter of the day.
Is it Happy Hour yet?

Yesterday, yours truly and about 11 other loveable misfits had some fun tailgating at the Raiders/Steelers game. The day went so smoothly compared to other tailgating adventures we have had. We actually arrived in Oakland on time (first time ever).
I have never seen anything like this before. It was pretty awesome though.
Greg, the leader of the tailgate, received so many compliments about this. I don’t blame them, the bar came with the stools AND the umbrella. I have no idea what to expect for next season. It should be interesting.
The tailgate was fun though, just food and booze everywhere. The weather was AMAZING also.
Then it was game time. It was a great game from the start. Non-stop scoring, defense was optional.
Unfortunately, I guess the game was just a bit much for some people. I’m amazed how he found time for a nap. I didn’t sleep, I was witnessing a Miracle in Oakland.
Even though defense was optional, the Raiders made stops when they had to. When they did, it led to this perfect set-up for SeBass.
It was PANDEMONEIUM!!! The crowd went wild.
While waiting for the crowd to clear, we were able to get a group shot.
The final is scored tucked away in the upper left.
It was a great day. Afterwards we went to San Francisco…for five minutes. I was able to get this awesome picture though…
My picture skills are horrible, but I love this picture of the Bay Bridge.
After that minor detour, we went to In-N-Out for some grub and made our way back to Sacramento.
My Sunday started at 4:55am and ended at 11pm. It was a long day, but a successful one.
BONUS??? I didn’t get hammered, which is always good.
Double Bonus???? Old High School folks came up from San Pedro for the game.
Triple Bonus??????? Ryan and Cindy FINALLY showed up. Better late than never right?

So the Endeavour made its trip over Sacramento today. Apparently it was the talk of the town, because pictures of the shuttle dominated my Facebook and Twitter page. I didn’t know it was a big deal. If I knew, I would’ve made time to see it. Of course, history repeated itself. I thought of Coachella. You know, Coachella, the return of Tupac. No?
Tupac made an appearance this past summer during the first weekend at Coachella.
When people first heard about it , they were going nuts!!!
Then the second weekend of Coachella happened, people were like “Eh”.
Safe to say that I feel the same way about this situation. Ever since the journey began, it has been in the media. For me, this was MY second weekend of Coachella.
Enough hating, my television shows are back! The Office and Parks and Recreation. I missed Parks and Rec., but I was able to watch The Office. I know The Office has been a downer since the great Michael Scott left, but the show keeps me laughing so I can’t complain.
I wish Kevin’s bit was available on YouTube because his efforts saving a turtle was awesome.
Here are three words to live by, courtesy of Parks & Rec, for the weekend.
I told the blog world what I will be doing on Sunday in my last past. If you missed the post, I’ll be doing some Tailgating at the Raiders Game.
I just got word that Raider legend Marcus Allen will be lighting the Al Davis flame also. He should get a nice crowd reaction.
Yeah, he signed it for me.
Saturday? I have no clue. I will just be going with the flow. For now, I’m just counting down the time when my shift comes to a close.
My Friday Favorite Video?
The joy of one-hit wonders.
Enjoy the weekend!

Back to reality. Why is the first day being at work after a vacation the worse? I thought I would be ready for work again, but I’m not. My mind is still on the shores of Redondo Beach. Let’s say the beach in general because Hermosa, Venice and Santa Monica got some love as well.
I was able to walk along Third Street Promenade, but I had no money to buy anything. I did roller blade (yes, people still do that) from Santa Monica to Venice Beach. I played some basketball at Venice Beach. I made my first three shots and after that? ALL. BAD. It does not help that I am out of shape. Those guys can play though. I can officially mark Venice Beach off my bucket list. I was able to walk along Third Street Promenade, but I had no money to buy anything.
One would think that I would keep a camera on me at all times, but I didn’t. The slideshow consists of pictures from my phone. The hotel that I stayed at was in Redondo Beach, three blocks away from THE beach. I was quite excited about that. The first few slides are from Redondo and the rest are from Santa Monica.
It was my first time getting to hang out in Hermosa Beach. I went bar hopping with some friends from high school. It’s weird, I’m pretty much ten years removed from high school. Time flies. Anyway, the pier was just filled with restaurants/bars. We did our fair share of walking, but it was nice. We pretty much ended the night watching the waves. I have never done that before, but THAT? Was nice.
The family had a BBQ and that was good. Nothing beats a BBQ with a touch of home. It was cool seeing the family, and the family was quite happy to see King Alex as well. I really don’t like going to LA but for some reason this trip felt different. I really don’t have a reason why, but it felt different.
The best part of the trip was going to Versailles. CUBAN FOOD. Whenever I make a trip down south, I have to at least three things: Go to Versailles, chill at Santa Monica Pier or get Thai food. I was able to accomplish two out of the three.
Seriously though, does this not look good?
I had that for dinner and yet again it did not disappoint.
Sunday, during the BBQ, my aunt hooked it up with this….
I didn’t open it yet, but apparently it is really good. It is Rum from Belize.
Just in case you didn’t know, fun fact of the day, my folks are from Belize. I have Central American roots. Not a lot of people know about that, but now? The internet world knows!
It felt good to be back at the old stomping grounds, but it feels good to be back in Nor Cal. At the end of the day all that matters is that everybody is alive and well. If that happens, then it’s all good.
Home, Sweet Home

I took a break from the blog. It has been a busy two weeks and I had to sacrifice something. I’m back though, better than ever. I must warn you that I won’t be back until Wednesday. When I come back I shall break down what has been going on. It will include: drinking in SF, football in Berkeley and hanging out in Sacramento. Each one was pretty amazing.
After I post, I will be GONE. I will be out-of-town, it’s been a while since I was able to just get away. I thought to myself, what would be perfect for this. This legend came to mind.
Had to keep it clean for the kids.

About me section? Check. Contact information section? Check. Me always being awesome? Always and forever. My page is to my liking and…I…like…it? <—- Not going to lie, that phrase sounded better in my head.
It’s Hump Day! Who came up with that nickname? I don’t know how I feel calling it by that name/nickname. All my life, Wednesday has been THE name. I can’t just go around saying “It’s Hump Day”, the majority of my friends have sick minds so that’s trouble.
Anyway, it’s Hump Day. I’m in the mood for some…
Whenever I drink this, I think of my good friend Sarah. If it wasn’t for her, I would not have known about this greatness.
Random thought: A few moments ago I met somebody who I follow on Twitter. If we were living in Southern California, I doubt the encounter would’ve happen. Northern California = a small community. Since I’m on the subject of Twitter, follow me – GO DEEP IN MY MIND.
My mind? I don’t know what is wrong with it. I have to get ready for my session, my freestyle session. I’ve been challenged by my friend. He is way better than I am. I have my moments though, especially if I freestyle about nursery rhymes. YES, you read that right, nursery rhymes! You want to know how horrible I am? Take a look at this, Allison Brie from Community.
Yup, I’m worse than her.
Happy Hump Day!

You know what happens everyday? Losing people. It happens in a variety of ways: death, moving, break-up, etc. In this case, I’m losing a co-worker. JW, no need for the whole name, has decided it was time to move on to the next chapter in his life. We all have been in that situation, even if we didn’t want to (unfortunately it’s mandatory). I believe we all have at least one person that can help steer us in the right direction (that isn’t a family member). We have a person that we can talk to in the time of need (also not a family member). This is the second time in the past two years, maybe three, that I’ve gotten the short end of the stick. Despite my emotional issues on the subject, I know that they are happy (I know my former boss lady(ESP) is).
………Again with the initials!!!! I’m just protecting them, it’s called respect……
JW: showed me the ropes of the manual labor in the Promo world. I was HIS outlet when he had to vent. He helped me out when I was in need. He was my opposite. You know the good and evil conscience that’s on your shoulder? He was the good one, by far!
ESP: THE person that hired me in the media world. She also let me vent to her when I was going through a rough patch. Time and time again she checks up on me as I search for that elusive full-time job.
Both people are class-acts, helped me out when it wasn’t in the job description. I lost co-workers, but kept friends.
Life will go on and they will always be here, I just have to keep reminding myself.
This is the part where I’m suppose to serenade you with pictures of them, but
I’m not, won’t. Who knows, maybe in the future.
My current mood?
I can never get tired of Anchorman.
This video is about a few years back. Me posting this defeats the purpose of this “Throwback Thursday” post. At the end of the day though, rules are made to be broken.
Somehow, someway I’m getting to that point this weekend haha.

“A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.” – Unknown
We all are going through situations, through that time we need our friends more than ever. Our past creeps up, we are worried about today and tomorrow. Just enough obstacles go that we endure that makes us C-R-A-Z-Y. A real friend understands everything.
Just wanted to get serious for once.

Wednesday is one of those odd days. It is not far removed from the previous weekend but it’s so close to the new weekend. I’m
lost TORN, when we hit the so called “Hump Day“. The torn part? I just finished uploading some awesome pictures from my time in San Francisco this past weekend. I went to the Beer Olympics, the Dodgers/Giants game was expensive. Overall, I lucked out, I saved more money by going to the Olympics. I got this awesome view at the end of drinking extravganza:
The awesomeness that happened inside? Pictures can only tell you so much. You want an example? You sure? Picture number 1:
This was at the end of the event. I don’t know who could be reading this, all I can say is – Mario is a sick man.
ON TO THE NEXT ONE!
These two were awesome! Selina Kyle (that was the name she gave me) was the nicest person I ever met. Bane? He was cool, actually these are my two new friends (let’s be real, it’s not true unless it’s on Facebook) in SF.
I’ll show one more, then maybe create a little gallery:
I felt sorry for this little one. She was the DD with her group, but she was happy nonetheless. I would be to, I WANTED that can. I offered 5 bucks but she didn’t want it.
Sidenote: I’m watching Boxing (is it me or has it dropped off) and the American just
lost, no manhandled, wait DESTROYED by a Russian. I can’t believed they air this fight.
Weekend was great, I was exhausted, SF treated me awesome like always. My counterparts? Not so much.
THE BEST THING ABOUT TODAY?
Community is coming back October 19th! This brought my spirits up, I was kind of down.
Video for your thoughts since SF is on my mind (I respect the classics):
That’s it, I’m done.

Lot’s to do this weekend, I’m excited! Heading to the Bay Area on Saturday to watch the Dodgers take on the Giants.
That’s the plan at least, we don’t have tickets. Back up plan might be the Beer Olympics at Fort Mason. Really? Beer Olympics? Let me write that again, BEER OLYMPICS!!!!! @#%# THE WORLD!!! San Francisco, you never cease to amaze me.
Sad, but true.
Heading to the State Fair, it’s the last day. The best day is the last day because you can get deals on food. If it’s not alcohol, then I’m all about the food. The plan is to get a deal on this greatness:
The Big Rib, it’s a big deal.
Overall, here is a nice video for you. Yesterday I gave you a R. Kelly and Dave Chappelle video. Today, I found the video I was thinking of when I posted Dave Chappelle….
Say what you, this song is still legit – 12 YEARS LATER!!
R. Kelly , “Feelin’ On Yo Booty”
Folks enjoy your weekend, because I know I will.
